SANTO DOMINGO.- \u00a0L<\/strong>as autoridades meteorol\u00f3gicas y de emergencias de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana han anunciado este jueves varias medidas por una amenaza de fuertes lluvias para el fin de semana en gran parte del pa\u00eds que podr\u00eda convertirse en depresi\u00f3n tropical o tormenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En rueda de prensa, la directora de la Oficina Nacional de Meteorolog\u00eda (Onamet), Gloria Ceballos, ha informado de que el sistema est\u00e1 ubicado en el centro del mar Caribe y tiene un 60 % de alcanzar la categor\u00eda de depresi\u00f3n o tormenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abIndependientemente de que se convierta en una depresi\u00f3n tropical o en una tormenta tropical lo m\u00e1s importante ser\u00e1n los acumulados de lluvias\u00bb que ser\u00e1n \u00absignificativas\u00bb y podr\u00edan provocar inundaciones, ha dicho la funcionaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abEl amplio campo nuboso podr\u00eda estar arropando el territorio nacional\u00bb el fin de semana, ha a\u00f1adido Ceballos, quien ha comentado que las autoridades vigilan la situaci\u00f3n \u00abdesde hace varios d\u00edas\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PROVINCIAS EN ALERTA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) coloc\u00f3 en alerta amarilla a las provincias Pedernales, Barahona, El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, Independencia, San Juan, Azua, Dajab\u00f3n y Bahoruco, y en alerta verde a Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Peravia, San Crist\u00f3bal, Monse\u00f1or Nouel y San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El director del COE, el general Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez, ha declarado que las instituciones que forman parte de ese organismo, entre ellas los ministerios de Salud y Obras P\u00fablicas, \u00abtienen sus planes de contingencias activados\u00bb para ofrecer \u00abuna oportuna respuesta\u00bb a las eventualidades que se puedan presentar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abDesde ahora en adelante el COE, conjuntamente con la Onamet, se declara en sesi\u00f3n permanente para darle un estricto seguimiento al desarrollo y evoluci\u00f3n de este evento\u00bb, ha asegurado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REUNION CON 32 DIRECTORES PROVINCIALES DE LA DEFENSA CIVIL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

El presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Emergencias y director ejecutivo de la Defensa Civil, Juan Salas, se reuni\u00f3 este jueves con los 32 directores provinciales para trazar las medidas de prevenci\u00f3n ante el posible paso de un disturbio tropical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salas llam\u00f3 a actuar anticipadamente para salvaguardar vidas y propiedades ante la cercan\u00eda del fen\u00f3meno meteorol\u00f3gico, localizado en aguas del Mar Caribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alert\u00f3 que los pron\u00f3sticos de los organismos t\u00e9cnico-cient\u00edficos indican que el fen\u00f3meno meteorol\u00f3gico traer\u00e1 muchas lluvias desde este viernes y hasta el pr\u00f3ximo domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inst\u00f3 a los directores a activar los Comit\u00e9s de Prevenci\u00f3n, Mitigaci\u00f3n y Respuesta, junto a las Gobernadoras, quienes encabezan a nivel provincial, y a los alcaldes a nivel municipal, en las zonas en alerta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HABILITAN ALBERGUES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salas inform\u00f3 que la Defensa Civil tiene ubicados los lugares que pudieran ser habilitados como albergues a nivel nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brigadas del Distrito Nacional han sido desplegadas para limpiar imbornales y alcantarillas, a fin de que no haya inundaciones.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

La alcaldesa del Distrito Nacional, Carolina Mej\u00eda, ha dispuesto el despliegue de brigadas y camiones de succi\u00f3n como medida preventiva ante probabilidad de altas precipitaciones durante el fin de semana en el territorio nacional por el disturbio tropical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En una acci\u00f3n conjunta, brigadas del ayuntamiento, en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Cuerpo de Bomberos y las direcciones de Mantenimiento, Obras Comunitarias, Aseo Urbano y Gesti\u00f3n Ambiental, se encuentran trabajando en la poda de \u00e1rboles y limpieza de imbornales y alcantarillas para evitar obstrucciones que puedan derivar en inundaciones urbanas y garantizar la seguridad y bienestar de los ciudadanos,  dice una nota de prensa .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agrega que entre los puntos prioritarios de intervenci\u00f3n se encuentran 27 de febrero, Los Guandules, San Carlos, Kennedy con Defill\u00f3, Ortega y Gasset, Ciudad Moderna, Club Los Prados, Para\u00edso y Charles Summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No sacar basura en tiempos de lluvia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RECOMIENDA NO SACAR BASURA A LAS CALLES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La alcald\u00eda hace un llamado a la ciudadan\u00eda para que en tiempos de lluvia evite sacar basura a las calles y aceras, contribuyendo as\u00ed a prevenir que los desechos sean arrastrados por las lluvias y queden atrapados en los sistemas de filtrantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos trabajos preventivos se realizan de manera constante durante todo el a\u00f1o seg\u00fan un calendario establecido.
